Lost in Sault Ste. Marie.

After extensive work on my bike this morning, dad and I parted in search of *this* library. Apparently the tourist-oriented map we picked up was not to scale. As I made it to the library and dad has not yet arrived.

Greetings from White River, Ontario.

Been travelling for a couple days with Mathieu, a Quebecois who started in Banff and is headed toward Quebec City.  My dad has been out here searching for me for a couple days, and we finally ran into each other yesterday on the road out of Marathon.  Good to see dad.

As far as Kenora, Ontario.

Welcome to Ontario   Apologies for less than full blog-posting. Struggling with infrequent computer availability and internet connections of dubious quality.

Retrospective: The Iron Curtain or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Waiting Room at the U.S. Canadian Oroville-Osoyoos Border Crossing.

Let me bitch and moan and be embarrassed a little bit here. I spent four-and-a-half hours trying to cross into Canada on Wednesday, August 19th. US-Canadian Border, 1st Attempt

Retrospective: Across the Cascades.

I crossed the Cascades on Highway 20 in Washington, part of the Northern Tier bicycle route.

Safe as far as Battleford, Saskatchewan.

Battleford, the southern part of The Battlefords (across the Battle River to the south of North Battleford, go figure). It is hot. About 30ºC.
