The dangers of camping in Hinton.

I camped last night, and intend to camp again tonight (seeing as I’ve already paid), at Hinton Centre Campground.  This is an amenity provided by the city of Hinton.  The town stretches along a corridor defined by the Canadian National rail-line and the Yellowhead 16 Highway.  Kind of strip-mall, Canadian Tire, Wal-mart, the usual assortment [...]

Safe and sound in Hinton, Alberta.

Dearly Beloved, I’ve made it as far as Hinton, Alberta.  A few clicks east of Jasper National Park.  Just time for a brief post because I know some of you are probably worried about my continued existence.

The highlight of my trip…

….thus far has probably been just laughing deeply at something on TV with Maxx and Melissa.  But I take that friendship and laughter for granted.  Almost expect it.  The highlight after that, probably one of those rare moments when I’ve felt strong on the bike.  Just gotten into a meta-groove and churned the pedals fluidly.  [...]

Port Angeles not ready for Taco Bell…

…Taco Bell not ready for Port Angeles.

Dad rejoins me.
